Thank you for your interest in joining our team! Applications for Summer 2025 are open from October 1, 2024 through January 31, 2025. If you are interested in being part of our crew for Summer 2025, please email info@salmonraft.com to receive a link to the application/pre-interview questionnaire (via Google Forms). Interviews with top candidates are conducted via Zoom during January and February, with an anticipated hiring date during the first week of March for the following summer.

Positions we typically fill for summer employment:

  • Full-time river guides (experience a plus, but not required)
  • Full-time shuttle driver (CDL with passenger endorsement required)
  • Part-time truck driver (no CDL required)
  • Part-time shop guy/gal (help with food prep, packing for trips, and shop maintenance)

If the position you are seeking is full, please keep us in mind for future seasons! And stay in touch, as sometimes plans change and we need a last-minute fill-in.

All positions are seasonal, with an estimated start date of early June, and estimated end date of mid-September. All newly hired river guides are required to attend our Guide Training program – dates and duration are TBD. Details will be announced privately as we get closer to spring.

Our application requires potential employees to submit a pre-interview questionnaire (link sent upon request). In the application, you’ll be asked to answer several questions and will have the opportunity to upload documents such as:

  • Current résumé
  • Current river log (for guides coming in with past guiding experience)
  • Cover letter that describes why you want to work for Salmon Raft
  • Minimum two professional references

More specific job descriptions can be obtained during an interview, including time commitment requirements, housing in McCall, pay scale, and what to expect day-to-day. Interviews are conducted via Zoom or in person if available, and will be scheduled with top candidates upon receiving your completed application.

Aside from the obvious perk of spending your days on the river (is there a better place to be?), there are tons of benefits to joining our team. Some of these include swag, gear discounts, private trips, and a group of best friends that quickly become your family.

We look forward to growing our team with fun-loving, hard-working, and enthusiastic men and women. Thanks again!
